FURTHER INFORMATION

The first meeting will be on Friday Jan 11. Before our first meeting, please read Gottlob Frege Foundations of Arithmetic [1884]: pages i-xi [Introduction], §§1-4, 58-80 [§§45-69].

There are three required texts. Please acquire them ASAP. They are available at the Hill.

  • Gottlob Frege.  The Frege Reader (edited by Michael Beaney) 
  • Bertrand Russell.  Problems of Philosophy
  • Ludwig Wittgenstein.  Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. Trans. by Pears and McGuiness.
