Up until now I would like to think that my writing or even just my attitude towards writing has changed since after writing the self-assessment. I have more of an interest in the subject, in the way that one can make an argument or claim about a certain topic or issue and try to persuade the reader to agree with what the author has to say or at least make them think about what was said. A difference up until now is that my writing has changed from identifying "devices" an author uses to help convey their message, to now utilizing these techniques myself rather than pointing them out. This has helped in letting myself have a little more freedom with how I want to write. Reading feedback has definitely contributed to helping me grow as a persuasive and overall better writer, pointing to areas where I may be struggling. I think now I am even more capable of dissecting a text and figuring out how it can be used for reasoning in an essay or any other form of writing, but I am still looking forward to what else I can learn with the remainder of the quarter.
