Practicing or gauging a person's ability is of great importance, especially if the person is aiming for improvements. This is, in fact, the assignment, RIP Exercise 1: Fairy Tale Intro to Me, that was meant to serve. Not only introducing myself to the class but also to see what issues I had in my writing which needed improving. In such, I learned that I needed to better understand how to use rhetorical devices as well as to rely less on sentence handicaps, such as "After searching a bit."

RIP Exercise 1: Fairy Tale Intro to Me
Hi, guys, My name is Chris, I’m from Sacramento, and I'm going to be an incoming sophomore at UCI studying to be an electrical engineer.
Just outside the thriving capital city of California, there lived a young Asian wizard. His appearance strikes of no significant character, neither his height nor his grades would suggest anything special. His classmates all seemed so far above him and, as luck would have it, he is constantly under fire from what the wizard society and family expects of him. However once in a week, this most average of a boy with the most general and probably a common name, Chris Chen, you will find him in a pasture practicing magic. Something more amazing, his wand is his paintbrush!!!
This amazing, often rare, ability that mages call creative magic was the heart of his power. His ability and forte is to bring any creature, place, or even idea to life. Now one summer day, his longtime friend, Bobo, and he was on their way to a Boba shop. On their way, they heard from a villager.
“I heard some miners and explorers found an intricate paintbrush in the dungeon out near the fields. They said that they were unable to retrieve it.”
At this moment in time, Chris felt like he needed to obtain this “intricate” paintbrush. He then begged Bobo to let him make a detour for this paintbrush.
“Please Bobo Pretty Please”
“I don’t mind.”
Upon arriving at the dungeon, a warning sign read, “BEWARE Monsters.”
Ignoring the warning, Chris and Bobo continued to venture down the dungeon.
Not long after exploring the caves and rooms within the dungeon, Chris steps on what seemed like a pressurized tile.
This trap opened a door and unleashed several starving flesh-eating goblins. The monsters pursued Chris and Bobo and shortly after losing the goblins from their trail, the two had been separated.
After searching a bit, Chris decided that the best course of action was to continue and venture further down into the dungeon hopefully finding Bobo along the way.
Bobo, on the other hand, encountered a Gargoyle who guards the paintbrush. Disguised in a business suit he offered Bobo a map of the dungeon and glass shoes. However, after thoroughly observing the creature’s suspicious attire and seemingly good intentions, Bobo refused and continued to look for Chris.
Seeing his service rejected and his plan ruined, the Gargoyle casted a spell on Bobo and he fell in a trance. The Gargoyle slipped on the cursed glass boots and now Bobo was under his control.
Shortly afterward, Chris and Bobo meet up again. They did a special handshake. But little did Chris know that Bobo was under a curse and was being led to a fake Paintbrush.
Bobo explains,
“I met merchant and I traded some stuff I found while I was wandering around the dungeon for a map of the area”
“Wow, that’s resourceful. The map seems to indicate that the paintbrush is just up ahead”
As the two reached the room where the paintbrush is laid, a sudden blast of air rushed from behind.
As Chris turned around to see what had happened, Bobo grabbed a large stone on the ground and knocked Chris unconscious.
Soon after Chris wakes up and sees Bobo unconscious next to him. He realizes that he is back at the entrance to the dungeon. Not knowing what happened and his face covered in dry blood, he woke Bobo up. But without saying much, both of them laughed, and they left for the Boba shop.
Moral:

- Be contempt of what you have even if there is something much cooler than what you have
- Never trust a stranger, hear them out but be smart about it
- A friend may betray you some day and make mistakes
