So far my research has been going really well, but I don't think one component of my solution is going to be effective. I wanted to propose a delayed schedule for vaccine administration as a sort of compromise between two sides of an extreme argument, but it doesn't look like that solution is feasible. For the most part, I will probably have to focus the bulk of my solution on an outreach/educational approach to hesitant parents, as there is no support among experts and officials for the delayed schedule. It is just one part of a solution though, so I am not too worried. I have still not changed my position, I think all children should be vaccinated before they start school, but there is legitimate risks to forcing parents to undergo the intense regimen of SB277, and I don't think it's necessary to have such a strict law, especially with so many hesitant parents. It just seems a little restrictive. I don't really have any other questions with regards to my research, besides maybe "What are you people so scared of? Look at all this great scientific evidence!" It's a bummer I am going to have to concede on the delayed schedule, it's just never been done in any other state, and it's seen as too risky to many officials, and there is virtually no support for it in the state legislation.
