RIP Peer Review

My RIP Project seems to target the right audience, but I may need to address my audience more specifically. They knew that I was targeting a younger audience, like people around our age because of my genre, but I need to refer to my audience as ghosts just to make it clear. They knew my tone was comforting/positive, but the message wasn’t as clear. They knew the general topic of my message was about relationships, but weren’t exactly sure what about relationships. I’m not sure how I’m going to portray my message that love is attainable. I might just add more to my introduction of the wikihow article and talk about how love is out there. I’ll also include some pictures to my article, which they said would be the finishing touch. They said my organization was good and clear, which follows the conventions of a wikihow article: simple and easy to follow. Nothing was said about my ethos, so I’m not sure how to portray that through my article. I don’t even know how my ethos could be used in a wikihow article.

REFLECTION

This peer review wasn't as successful as the other activity we did in class, but it was still helpful nonetheless. Receiving feedback from someone else's point of view gave me insight as to what I needed to address more in my project. Since each session for a project was short, I didn't get too much feedback, but my peers did point out some obvious areas I needed to work on. Peer review showed me that even if something looks right in my eyes, it may not look right in someone else's eyes. Different point of views can see something in another light which can offer multiple ways to improve and revise something like the RIP project. I already knew the importance of peer review back when we were writing the RA, but this refreshed my mind of how peers notice different things.
