Reflection

The RIP was a nice change in this course. After the RA, I definitely needed a breath of fresh air. This creative project put a fun twist on writing, and I thoroughly enjoyed doing this. I never knew how much research a creative project. I thought it would be all fun and games! But alas, research is the key to success as a scholarly writer. I learned how much influence the context, audience, genre, and message have on each other, and this realization shaped my skills as a communicator for the future.

The essay was much easier than the RA, since this essay is more informal and doesn't go super in depth into each choice. Although finding sources wasn't fun, seeing the evidence back up what I was saying felt satisfying. I understood why research was necessary for something like this. Even if this was a creative project, it still needs credibility and logic for everything to be cohesive. I also knew what rhetorical choices I made in my project, so writing about what I did and why I did was easier. I made sure to include everything I could think of, since there are no accidental choices in this world. Those choices were made for a reason, whether it was accidental or not.
