The RIP project and essay was a great shift in my writing 39b class. It was the assignment I liked the best. I was able to be creative and use my imagination. At the same time, I was able to express my own message to an audience with purpose behind everything I wrote about. I chose to create a how-to guide using the unnatural creature; a talking snake. I addressed the audience as the talking snake and the topic of my how-to guide was cyberbullying. My message revolves around the idea that we need to raise awareness about the wrongness of cyberbullying and the snakes were the cyberbullies in my project. I enjoyed being creative because I was never really engaged in an assignment similar to this.

Followed by the project was the essay and it ended up not being as difficult as I thought because I was already aware of every single thing I chose to include in my project to express a powerful message to the audience about cyberbullying. I learned that every detail, rhetorical device choice I made, the audience, message, and purpose has a whole reason of being and I was able to successfully include these things in the most creative and detailed ways in my how-to guide and essay most importantly. Thanks to the RIP project and essay, I was able to put my imagination and creativity to use; this was by far my favorite big assignment of writing 39b!
