In this semester, I have learned a lot after taking writing 39B. This class changed me from anxious and nervous to confident in my work, and I remember not knowing what to do during the first GA draft. Maybe because of my poor understanding, I looked in the textbook for a long time and didn't know how to start. I didn't start writing until I sent an email to the professor and got an accurate response.

Here we learned Rhetoric and analysis. Although I have been exposed to them in various ways before, when I start to write, I will not know where to start, and I will become at a loss. And through this course, I will not be at a loss when writing such a style in the future but will be very confident to complete it.

Through the study of writing this semester, I have summarized some methods to learn Rhetoric and analysis writing. Read the textbook. Through the textbook, I am familiar with the general content of Rhetoric and analysis, which enables me to have an overall grasp of the design of each chapter, especially the examples and research structure in the textbook. Check the gaps and fill the gaps. Familiarize yourself with the texts you have used in the past and have a thorough grasp of the issues you have ignored or never considered. Also want to be aimed at ordinary times uncertain knowledge point, make clear its correct practice, still need to consolidate oneself knowledge point further. Focus on memory. In learning the genre, pay attention to distinguishing the differences between genres, correctly choosing the appropriate style, understanding the differences between genres, find out the differences, this is very important to the writing process.

For me, the main point of the writing class was to dare to write. I don't think there's a standard, set answer. Writing class is to express what you want to express. I think my best point in this class is to share my views on different novels, such as Bloodchild and The Matter of Seggri, The main object of my analysis. Actually, I was shocked when I first read The Matter of Seggri. Because the story truly restores the life of modern and some contemporary women, only in the story the protagonist becomes a man. At the same time, I also like Le Guin's works because of this class.
