Below are three screenshots of annotations and highlights I made on the Geology of Media book by Jussi Parrika that we had to read. This was particularly useful for me because I was really inspired to write about the Aswan Dam when Parrika discussed how the geological disruption by man and its "race for energy and resources" coincided. The Aswan Dam's construction involved the movement of massive amounts of dirt, rock, and clay while suppressing the natural flow of silt that lead to environmental problems. It also led to greater hydroelectricity generation powering Egypt's Nile Delta region.
