Good morning, afternoon, or evening! As you probably know from the title of this page, my name is Thinh Nguyen and this is my ePortfolio for Writing 39B: Critical Reading and Rhetoric. In this short collection of works I've done throughout the course, I hope to be able to reflect on all that I've learned about the conspiratorial genre, the rhetorical techniques and conventions employed, and the reading skills necessary to analyze a genre as complex and multilayered as conspiracy theories.

Coming into this course, I have heard of a single conspiracy theory that was discussed (i.e., QAnon). Throughout the quarter, I was able to see the multifaceted world of conspiracy theories, learn of how these theories employ conventional techniques to grab an audience, analyze the conventions in a genre analysis essay, and attempt to imitate a conspiracy theory by employing these very same genre conventions in an imitation project.
