Message and Purpose:

It is a diary of a people living under sea in the comic Doctor Eleven which is created by Mandel in the story Station Eleven. I think each kinds of people in the comic is an epitome of a type of people in the story, or represent some kinds of thoughts. So I want to dig out what is the meaning that people live under sea in the comic to Miranda, or even to the theme of the whole book.

Audience:

My intended audiences is people who have read the Station Eleven, and want to explore it more. I want to let them find out the correlation between the people who wrote the dairy and some ideas in the book, because the comic in the book may be kinds of abstracted to audience and they may feel either confused or interested in it.

Context:

It’s a derived story of Station Eleven, and it take place in the storyline of the comic (People were forced to leave their planet and migrated to another planet in a future world). I should write from the perspective of a young teenager who have never lived in earth.

Genre:

Maybe it’s a kind of science fiction represented by the dairy form, so it may be just text. I am not sure.

In this proposal, I showed the rhetorical progress that I came up with me RIP project. This artifact shows how I created my project based on my rhetorical choice step by step. I always started my writing from what I want to express, but what people can see in this artifact is that how I define my intended audience, context and genre first. This helps me to think how to form my project a lot.
