Task one:

The prompt question: Through all the social activities and obvious phenomenon from the past to the present, is gender roles in household changed globally?

Task Two:

As human’s common sense on gender equality is increasingly advanced, women and men are mostly treated equally in many different occasions, like work places, social activities, sports activities and so on. Especially in modern cities, there doesn’t exist any obvious gender inequality phenomenon, but does this represent that there is no problem with this issue? The truth is that even though people’s actions or behaviors towards gender equality were changed, their mind still remain some stereotypes. Considering the household condition, women still do more works like cleaning furniture and all the other household than men in usual and they both need to go out to earn money. If the works are balanced for them that women need to do both and men need to earn more money, this seems really appropriate and represents most of our current household situations. However, on the other hand, this model also forced women to live rely on men, and if one side just leave the family, it will cause big issues since the balance is broken. For this project, I may need lots of vivid current statistics on women and men average salary, shopping statistics, and some interviews about some single parent families.

According to me, I may suggest the way to solve this problem is to respect each other after married and the condition in a household should be each side could also rely on themselves and be independent on doing everything. And nowadays society also tends to advocate such idea.

Task Three:

-Introduction: Background information about current household situations.

-Analyze the situation globally (roles, duties)

-do historical researches on women’s role in the household in both                          developed and developing countries

-Compare with the past and present (describe the change)

                                    -research on current household situations

                                    -analyze different models

-Provide and illustrate points by using vivid statistics and examples(research)

-statistics on economic (average earned salary for both men and women)

                                    -shopping

                                    -example families

-Suggestions: how to change people’s mind towards this issue, not only their actions
