Grade: A

Despite having gotten a significantly higher grade on my AP than my CP, an improvement of 10%, I feel as if I had put significantly less of myself with my AP. While I do not necessarily believe that this is connected to the amount of effort I exerted to write either of these projects, I do believe that this is connected to how I felt about my writing throughout the course. Between writing both the CP and AP, I found it significantly easier to write the AP and utilize the multimodal aspect that was required. I can attribute this solely to the fact that this class has readjusted my mindset into writing again, and made me more comfortable writing in general over the time period of WR39C. Besides my changed mindset, I also got my paper reviewed by my professor rather than my peers as a focus for this aspect of the project as I thought that it would give me more specific feedback that I can ask questions about. I honestly did not know what the true prompt of the AP was, and my professor's feedback greatly helped me.

For example, I had a zoom meeting with her, and the two main points I took to implement in my paper were to specify California's influential factor on the country and my to strengthen my purpose in my thesis statement by specifically stating that as a whole we must "improve state and national curriculum."

Taking this feedback back, there was even less changes from my rough to final draft compared to my CP. Again, I generally struggle going through my own work and giving myself feedback as I stated in my initial reflection, however I appreciated the short feedback I got from my professor. Although it was a small portion that was changed, I feel as if it created the most impact for the overall transitional aspect of my paper, and I continued to understand that my improvements through writing can come from sole additions of topics.
