This is a very general outline that was later revised several times throughout my research process. This outline was able to help me organize the research I was collecting. I constantly made notes where I would realize that I needed to expand on a topic. In this outline the reader can also notice that the topic sentences are argumentative but do not connect with each other. This is a skill I learned later in the writing process. During this stage of my essay, I did not have a clear format of my essay but a vague idea. Throughout the writing process I constantly referred back to this outline in order to ensure I maintained organization throughout the essay. Although I did learn the necessity of an outline in Writing 37, this essay consisted of a lot of information that often challenged my ability to construct one.
