Buffalo Gals Observation

After reading Buffalo Gals, Won't You Come Out Tonight, we were given an activity to complete: write down two observations and one question. Trying to analyze observations helped me when it came to exploring different types of genre's for my RIP project. Although we did this exercise before we knew of the RIP, this is the one exercise that came to my mind while looking through the different genre options. I learned how and what to observe because everything leads to the overall message and purpose of the text. This activity relates to the RIP Choices Exercise we did in class that I later talk about under the Peer Review section. As I was reflecting back on this class while writing my RIP project, it came to me that every detail matters because it contributes to something whether that is the audience, the historical context, the message, or the purpose.
