Reflection:

This was the first time I have ever had to do an RIP project and essay. I was always so used to writing a rhetorical analysis, a five paragraph essay based off a certain format and it had to include exactly everything a usual rhetorical analysis essay of five paragraph consists of. How boring right? Well this RIP project and essay allowed me to bring some creativity into play. I was finally able to create my own project specifically using am unnatural creature which was super cool! I came up with an unreal audience, the talking snakes and was able to create a how-to guide for them to follow because they are cyberbullies according to my project. I included certain details in my slides and was able to express them in my essay. I appreciate the RIP writing assignment because it allowed me to open up and be free in my writing. In the beginning I did not think it was possible for me to create an RIP project and essay idea, but I was able to with all expressions of my thought, creativity, and imagination I put into it. I used talking snakes as my audience specifically because according to the Urban Dictionary, a snake is “A person who seems like a really nice person and you can confideLinks to an external site. in, but is actually backstabberLinks to an external site. waiting for the moment to strike.” Through being able to choose my own genre I was able to create a successful how-to guide using google slides for the talking snakes dealing with cyberbullying.
