Throughout the course, we were given multiple assignments aside from the Historical Conversations Project and Advocacy Project.

In the beginning of this course, we were assigned a Self Assessment in order to reflect on past writing experiences and evaluate where we stood in Week 1 of the quarter. Viewing this makes me really appreciate my growth from the beginning of the Writing 39 series to now.

The second artifact, my Chapter 8 Ravitch Response questions, provided me with an interesting opportunity to explore the elements of standardized testing. Though I had already chosen insufficient parental involvement as my topic, I still enjoyed exploring how standardized testing fits into the American school system.

Finally, I turned in my Midterm and HCP reflection only days after turning in the final draft of the HCP project. The assignment reflects how I felt about research, the history of my problem, my journey as an emerging scholar, and elements of multi-modality in my writing.

This is, of course, not all of the work I did in this course. Yet, these are a few key artifacts that help provide an accurate representation of my thought process and evolution as the weeks passed in the Writing 39 Course.
