Hello! My name is Haley Witzeman and I am a freshman at UCI. My major is currently undeclared but I am interested in Civil Engineering. This portfolio represents the ten weeks I spent in Writing 39C this quarter developing my topic, collaborating with peers, researching, and writing unique content based on analysis of my research. In the fall quarter, Writing 39B taught me to utilize rhetoric successfully when communicating to an audience. Writing 39B was my first step into the realm of college writing, so my start was shaky. Yet, I have used what I learned in that class to master the art of argumentation and research this quarter. Through the ten week trek of this course, I have become a better writer, but ultimately I have become better in my communication with an academic audience, which will benefit me beyond the Writing 39 series.
