1. An example of a multimodal form of media I created outside of writing 39B is an engineering video describing the design process of a rover that we made in class. In this piece I incorporated animations, photos, text, and video demonstrations of the mechanisms used in the rover. The video was made for a class where the goal was to encompass the full design process of a rover that was designed by our team.

2. The genre analysis project allowed me to gain a better understanding of what strategies a writer employs and how those strategies effect the rhetorical situation and message of a piece. Understanding the rhetorical situation of the genre examples used in my imitation project allowed me to better imitate the writing style of the pieces that my project is based off of. I am taking this better understanding of the purpose of a piece, and then using multimodality, mainly pictures and infographics, in order to better and more clearly convey my message in my IP.

3. One example of multimodality enhancing communication in my IP comes in my discussion of the galactic empire in Star Wars, and how it relates to historical totalitarian regimes. I included a screenshot of a scene from star wars where storm troopers (Star War's soldiers) are lined up in attention of the leaders of the empire. This scene was one that the creator of Star Wars said was inspired by historical photos of totalitarian regimes such as the USSR and Stalin or the Nazis and Hitler.

4. For my IP, I think including more multimodality will definitely enhance the reading experience of the piece. Including infographics and charts with physical and numerical evidence of my claims will help explain to and persuade the reader into my arguments. Expanding beyond the current simple photos that I have on my draft will definitely help support the rhetorical purpose of my IP.
