The biggest difficulty I had when I was writing my genre analysis was being able to connect IT 
to the rest of the argument. Relating my primary sources with the argument was a bit of a 
struggle at first but then I had a lightbulb moment that helped me write a better argument.

My writing process started off with obstacles but then I had a friend read my essay and I realized 
the information I should add. In my first essay I was missing very crucial information like not 
mentioning the primary reading or what the suburban gothic genre contains. My final draft is 
very different from the first drafts and it includes all the revisions I received.

My experience with the GA peer review process was one of the best I have had in my writing 
classes so far because both of my partners gave me very valuable feedback to make my essay 
better. Both of my partners gave me the best revision which helped me implement more details 
that help my argument in my final draft.

The freewriting has helped my writing because usually in classes the teachers only allow 
structured and revised writing to be turned in but having the assignment of freewriting allowed 
me to just express all of my thoughts without giving it too much thought. Also, just being able to 
write whatever comes to mind helps my flow of thoughts when writing a paper.

My attitude towards writing has not changed since hybrid learning because as long as I am 
passionate about the topic I am writing about then my writing style stays the same. The 
pandemic has changed my writing for the better because with the extra time I had I decided to go back to writing poems and being able to express my feelings better through my writing. 

My writing goals in life are to be able to write my points and thoughts in a formal way to make 
sure, there is no confusion. What I hope to gain from taking a writing course is to write a formal 
essay with intellectual vocabulary so that my readers see me as a professional person in my 
career.
