The author’s main argument is that the real reason there hasn’t any real actions done to combat climate change is because we as humans lack real-life connections to the problems. The people who are in charge of making the decisions to combat climate change aren’t the ones who are being immediately affected by its effects. He uses the example of flies in a couples home. Most of the problems that are symptoms of climate change are just annoying and for the most part can be ignored. They at first try to do something about it, but when it doesn’t work, they just give up, only doing partial solutions and trying to ignore the issue all together.

7 Instructions of writing an excellent essay:

  1. Be complex in word choice and keep the reader on their toes with analogies, and short stories.
  2. Be insightful in the matter, have background knowledge and connection to the problem.
  3. Be clear with your words and be clear with the problem.
  4. Be persuasive in order to convince the reader of the problem
  5. Be subtle while still showing passion about the matter.
  6. Be nuanced by showing small shades of emotion here and there
  7. Be thorough with the problem and explain the reader what needs to be done.
