My reflection for this essay was that I learned a lot on how to connect two ideas and combine them into one with supporting evidence to add credibility to my thesis. The thesis was the biggest conflict for me to write. Once I introduced IT in my first paragraph everything began to get easier to write. In my body paragraphs I started to emphasize the Suburban Gothic genre in the book IT because of elements like vulnerability, horror, and trust in the wrong people. This genre analysis essay helped me get a better sense of what this genre was about and therefore prepared me for the imitation project.
