HCP Draft 1 Reflection

When writing my first draft, I knew I had a lot of work to do on my HCP and completely revise some of the sections. I wasn’t sure where to start at first and just began doing more research to find more sources that would help support my argument. I knew that I had to completely find a new and better news story so I began to search for articles that would showcase the prevalence of my issue. I had some trouble in finding one because I couldn’t find an article that spoke about both immigration and education in one article. When I finally did find one, it related perfectly to my issue and I was able to incorporate it into my draft.

I next found difficulty in constructing the history part of my essay. I wasn’t sure what kind of history to add and couldn’t find evidence that showed history directly pertaining to education and immigration. I was only able to find history behind education and separate history about immigration. I wasn’t sure and am still not sure how to bridge the history between the two together. I also need to do more research for my history section and be more thorough with the events that I add in to explain the historical reasons behind the issue that I’m talking about. I’m not sure if the overall issue is coming across in my essay and I really need to do more revisions and research to get my paper where I would like it to be.
